Planning

One of New Forest Association’s more important roles is to monitor Planning Applications and to offer views on the development of statutory Planning Policies. Its focus is on Planning within the National Park but also it takes an interest in surrounding Local Planning Authority activities which could have an impact within the New Forest. Much of its work is done by informal lobbying and advising.  Some of its current publicly available comments can be read below. The NFA is represented at most meetings of the National Park Authority’s Planning Development Control Committee and often speaks on specific applications.

The NFA Planning Committee includes established professional planners and experienced New Forest campaigners. It meets monthly.
